Anton's Dog/Annie's Cat after becoming free is stuck in the floor and some combo chain completions do not give you cracked rank.

So after purchasing the pet enough times, it seemingly became free in every save file, but I noticed that now it doesn't even work. it's always stuck in the floor. In addition, I completed combo chain on both Boiler City and Slowroast Sewer by getting all the items and never dropping a combo and yet both have not gave me a cracked rank. I have not tried other levels so I am not sure if these are the only two levels that do this or not.

The same thing happened to me with Cinnamon Spring, i completed the combo chain without dropping the combo and having all the items but it didn´t gave me the cracked rank, i even tried to completed again without taking any damage but nothing.

You need to start the stage without the golden beet.

I never even bought them once and they've always been free for me, it seems like the cat/dog is just... broken? they don't seem to do anything no matter what I do

Is this a recent problem? Cuz I've seen people be able to use the pets, but mine are also stuck to the floors

Yeah, I was able to use it before it became free after you buy it enough times, after it became free it started breaking, but I don't think that was the cause. It may just be a recent patch that broke something. Because I see recent playthroughs of the game encountering this same bug when they were able to use it in previous episodes (Specifically BornLosersGaming) So I think we just may need to wait for another patch.

The last patch they released made the pet 90% off for the Christmas season, so maybe they accidentally broke it somehow while changing it.
