Why won't people stop comparing this to Pizza Tower?

Even though they are both inspired by Wario Land 4, they are very much different. Somebody compared the two and said that Anton Blast is a slower paced game. Well, you're correct! Wario Land never had a Mach run ability. That was probably influenced by Sonic. I don't want to be annoying and point this out like it's illegal to do this, it's not. I'm just confused on why people keep comparing them like they're in the same universe. If you want to compare them, that's ok! Just don't act like all Wario games and fan games control the same. If you want an analogy, Pizza Tower is more like: "Go fast and... I don't know! Go fast!" When Anton Blast is more like: "Destroy everything you can see!"

I can't agree more, i've played both pizza tower AND antonblast, and it's clear to see that these are in a thing called a "genre" not sure if y'all heard it, meaning that they both come from the same roots, example; whoever created rapstyled music started a genre, and donald glover and kid cudi both rap too, but the songs are different, meaning that it's not the exact same thing, as before mentioned, Peppino uses "mach" and slowly increases speed, whilst Anton uses a "Clutch Timer" for timed enhanced speeds, they are two wario land inspired masterpieces that have their own identities outside of eachother's games, i've run outta things to talk about, so have a nice day, and give both games a try!

But this honestly looks way cooler and also much closer to the style of Wario Land.

Naming this genre after Wario games is too messy in my opinion. If you say a game is Wario-like people are going to think Warioware first. And specifying further by saying Wario Land-like is also inaccurate since most of the Wario Land games don't even have this mechanic.

Best to just call it the Pizza Tower genre. I suppose if Anton Blast turns out to be good we can be diplomatic and call it the Pizza Blaster genre. Although can you really call it a genre if there are no other games in it?

How about "Puzzle platformer" since Wario borrows puzzle game mechanics and are not fully focused on platforming.

Puzzle platformer doesn't exactly match the type of game these are going for so maybe Speedrun plaformer? Time-attack platformer? Combo Platformer? i dunno which others you can come up with but they are most definitely not puzzle plaformers.

They are closely linked. You can see Anton in the background of Oh ♥♥♥♥! in PT and Peppino is playable in ABD (and then there's that one image in the files of AB)
