The 10 day no craving quest still busted
For once it still says 10 days, but forget that, i sold 2x10 potions of the mage dude craving and he still had the craving by the end of the day, i even waited him to go all the way to back to town where he can enjoy the potions.

I done a new install after the patch so it has to be updated.
The game flat out has a game breaking bug where this quest is unclearable. Good job.

The craving doesn't go away during the day or evening. It stays until the end of day screen, where the customers gain experience. The ledger will show that he has the craving until you wake up the next day.

Well it didnt go away then either. He just got a new one for a different potion. And the quest says no craving at the end of the day. So by that logic if he gets nothing for the next day then how am i supposed to fill his craving if he doesnt have one so it goes away? or he wont get another one for 10 days? I seriously doubt. Even with your explanation i cant even think of a logical way how it would work this quest.

Forgive me, but I don't understand what you're saying here. It sounds like you think you have to know which craving will come next(?)

You're supposed to have all the customers NOT have a craving for 5 days straight, and you can only do that by selling them at least 1 of each potion they want every day. You can see which potions each customer wants in the Customer Ledger at the register.

At level 30, Zen the Wizard wants:
- Mana
- Cure Disease
- Rejuvenation
- Intellect
- Charisma
- Levitation
- Invisibility
- Love OR Forgetfulness

So, for Zen to not have any cravings, you have to supply him with at least 1 of each of those potions every day, NOT every purchase, for the given amount of days.

To get this achievement, you have to do this for all customers at the same time, which means what you need to do, is to have a bunch of each type of potion that your customers want for sale every day, so everyone can buy at least 1 of every type they want.

This is a bit harder to do when they're all level 15-30, since you only have 16 slots in the Shop Crate, and there are 25 types of potions (Note: customers cannot crave Hodgepodge), so every day you have to swap out (up to) 9 of the 16 types of potions for sale for the remaining 9 types, after all the customers have made their first purchase, so they have a chance to buy those 9 types of potion on their 2nd purchase of the day.

If you want to forego this extra difficulty and just want the achievement, it is very easy to get it early on in the game, since the customers will have very few demands, so you can start a new playthrough and get it there, by only supplying them with the first 2 demands they have. In this scenario, Cecil will be the most difficult, as he craves two Tier 2 potions, Rejuvenation and Strength.

Note that it's possibly still 10 days for the Alchemical Society quest, but only 5 for the achievement; we're looking into that part tomorrow, to see what the real numbers are, and why they're printed wrong for some people, but not for everyone, and what actually counts for the achievements and quests.

Thanks for reporting <3

Ooooooooooookay... Steam changed how new messages being notified, so i only saw this comment now, way after the fact.

So the whole issue was a missunderstanding, where I tought, the only way to remove ones craving if you give him what he craves.

However, for some absurd reason you decided that a craving is removed if he gets everything (including the craving one).

It makes sense in a singular perspective, but game presentation wise aparently I could never make the connection.

Funny thing is, that this makes this quest even more absurd then it was already.

You NEED to implement this somehow in the game (like one of the npc-s say if you have them buy everything, they wont buy something for more (craving), something)

I beg your pardon for making a mess about this mechanic, but one must accept that satisfing a craving supposed to be just as logical then satisfining everything to avoid a craving.

I'm glad we're getting somewhere here, but I think you're still slightly misunderstanding :)

"So the whole issue was a missunderstanding, where I tought, the only way to remove ones craving if you give him what he craves."

That is true. Let's say your customer only demands Healing Potions and Mana Potions. For each potion demand, we count up the amount of days they have not been able to buy them. Let's say you have not sold them any potions at all for 2 days. On day 3, they have a 20% chance to develop a craving for either of them. Let's say they get a craving for Healing Potions. You remove that craving for Healing Potions, by selling them a Healing Potion (this resets the counter for Healing Potions, but not for Mana Potions). If you still haven't sold them any Mana Potions, they will still have a chance to develop a craving for Mana Potions on day 4. They're just locked to one craving at a time.

You have to sell them all 1 of each potion they demand, for 5 days in a row. It's incredibly easy to do when starting a new game, and perhaps holding off a bit on completing their customer quests, to keep them having few demands, but it IS possible to do even at end-game, by following the instructions in my last post.

Hope this makes sense and helps you attain this <3

I will check out your video tomorrow!

Hi, no need to check my video, you would likelly not learn anything from it. All i did was keept selling them various amount of potions of their craving for 4-5 days. At the time i had no idea about this mechanic true works.

I'm not really an achirunner. I really enjoyed the game and the rage already dissipated for that ridicilious quest, Wish you the best, and hope your next project will get more trough and not cause such a head twister.
OK, cool :)
We have definitely learned a LOT making this game, and will do our best not to repeat the same mistakes in the next game.

I wish you the best, as well <3
