Universally loved/liked gifts?

Just really want to know about that because I don't really want to have an empty wedding with Talon, I had to quit the game without saving because my wedding site was completely bare and I only had two stars with everyone else :`) any help is appreciated!

I'm aware of the gift guide, but there's so many NPCs I really can't look through each and every one of them :(

Most characters like catnip. Mice are also well liked! Keep in mind not ALL of them do though.

There aren't universally loved gifts like there was in the OG game. However if you struggle with using the guide every time you want to gift, you can double check any loved/liked gifts you have given in the past by going to the Social page and clicking on a particular cat's name. It'll list everything you've given them.

For 90% of kittens, they like random curios. Which greatly helps as there aren't a lot of lists relating to them individually.

Maybe the Gift Box?

After you donate a certain amount of Curios, you get a furniture item that can convert Unidentified Curios into Gift Boxes.

The description reads "Almost any cat would love to receive a present wrapped as beautifully as this."

I haven't personally used it, though, ad I'm trying to donate all Curios before I use it.

My best tip for building friendship is make a "shoping list" so to speak, list each cat on a peice of paper with a few gifts you know they like before you head out and tick them off as you go

I also do something like this, but I list the common items first - I also try to select a different one for each cat if multiple cats like the same thing because it's easier to keep track.
e.g. Ember loves squirrels, so I try to catch those for her. (I also narrow it down to things I know where to find easily if I can.)
If they don't love (or at least like) something common, I then list the uncommon, & so on. (So far the Forest Guardians' list is horrible to try to find something on... I think there might be an UC or two...)
You may find the most practical thing to do is spend a hour with the guide making a list that works for you so you don't have to waste time & resources guessing - someone (forget who) dislikes or hates catnip, which seems odd.

There isn't a good universally liked gift, but I have figured out if you get Mice, Frogs, Daisy and Marigold that covers everyone with at least a liked gift. Marigold and Daisies can easily be grown in the garden, and Mouse and frog can both easily be found at C1 (clay pits) on the map. (some like multiple of these gifts so theyre listed twice)

The gift box is the only universally liked item, which is primarily why there's no universal list. Each cat has unique likes and dislikes. Check out the gift guide in the guides section for details on that

You can use CTRL F to search the guide for items you happen to have to see if anyone likes them, that's what I do so I don't have to go out of my way to get specific items

I think catnip is universal, you can get the seed recipe from alabaster, i dont know when though.

*FYI Catnip isn't universal; there are one or two cats who dislike or hate it. (Even in demo.) Check a guide for who.
