how do i get wood??

i have no idea how to get wood (or sand) uhh does it just drop like herbs or do i need something to get them

Hi! You'll need to send Squads to defend a region your colony completely owns that contains Sand or Wood (you can see this in the lower-right hand corner of the display when assigning squads with Talon.)

Alternatively, Dried Roots can be donated at the colony stockpiles to increase your Wood stockpile rating. (craftable at the Seed Maker)
