how come there has been no update since sept 2023 but every time i open my steam it has me update it

That is because from my understanding is Level Infinite is making small subsidiary Studios that make map then a level cap. Then they lock it behind time gates and level. Let the game go on for a little while and make money. So the game pretty much goes on auto drive needing limited interaction. While that is going on they are making another game using pretty much the same assets but with different models and skins. Then they release a newer game when the older one is closed to ending. Then abandon the older game for the newer one. If you dont believe look at the game called SYNCED and it will soon be replaced by a game called Exoborne. But that is just my 2 cents on it.

Tencent games designed for zombie people to make money. Same model minimum effort, and they know there will be people spending anyways. Sad
