And the biggest of all... Is that the servers actually have several second update rates, or are just potato slow. This why you can move outside of a hitzone in pve and 1-2 seconds later STILL be hit by the AOE attack. Because the server is several seconds behind the client. Which can explain shooting you through cover.
I've had this both ways in Elite Elim, I put a full mag into someone and they die 1-2 sec later behind cover.
Yes, it's bad in PVE, but it's AWFUL in pvp. With pve the delay is just in how slow the server responds to your client. But in pvp it's twice as slow as the server takes it's sweet times responding to you shooting, then even longer to tell the other guy's client he got shot, then again for the server to tell you he died. Could be upwards of 4-5 seconds delay in extreme cases.
As for the servers the problem is their tickrate is extremely slow. They have 20 tickrate servers. Which were standard back in 2001-2005. So the servers are very very old. Typically modern FPS use 60-100 tickrate servers. This is why everything is so horribly delayed. When you add 80 or more latency into the mix your looking at 3-6 second delays.
This is due to their tickrate. Like the person above me put it, they are still using servers that likely date back to 2001 - 2005, which result in the incredibly low tickrate of 20. What is this comparable to? Left 4 Dead 1/2 comes to mind, both of these games run off 30 tickrate servers, although that was the tickrate the game was built around, Valve knew it would be running on 30 tickrate. I would like to assume that Lightspeed knew the servers would be running on 20 tickrate, but it for some reason feels like they didn't.
The point is those games both came out in the years between 2008 - 2010, which means these servers that are being used in Undawn, are outdated, heavily. That's the gist of it, while I'm sure there are some cheaters, the more likely reason for why you got shot behind a wall is due to how you were still out of cover on another persons screen due to delays.
Yes I did try on phone, as one of the tournaments is phone only. And it absolutely DOES have aimbot for mobile players. The soft aim asist your mistaking for the lock-on system is also on the PC client and NOT what I'm talking about. The game "DOES" have a lock-on system on mobile, and even a fully automated firing mechanic, I used it, it's in the freaking UI, and it's even called the "lock on" system in the game.
If you have proof then I’m going to be very annoyed then as that would mean it’s only on specific models of phone. What a bizarre thing for a developer to do. Almost like how my wife can’t crank up her quality settings despite having the same chipset in her phone as mine but different manufacturers brand.
Yeah I'll grab some pics of it when I can. There are traces of it even on the PC client in the settings window, but as far as I can tell the settings doesn't actually do anything on PC.
