Stuck on Character Level 44

So I am now level 44....I cannot continue on with the main mission which is to speak to Caine about something until I am at least Level 50? So what suggestions do i do to get there?
Does doing events and matchmaking give me XP or just rewards? I was invited to the LOST CITY again by a team and did that but think i got rewards only., I have been climbing those signal towers but thats only ticking them off the map and scouting areas, should I just go around shooting zombies? At least my HP has gone up now to 335 or something, and i have been collecting those armour plates et, but hey the game keeps telling me "You are doing well, keep it up" so I must be going good :)

So suggestions to get to Level 50 welcome :)

If you check your schedule then you will be able to see in the top-left corner that the game is currently experience a server cap.

They are releasing the levels slowly in order to prevent players from speeding through the game too quickly.

It is also so that the people who Pay for Power are able to wait until Pay-Day before the next set of equipment releases.

People tend to spend a lot of money on the game every 5-10 Levels since they release new gear to upgrade and modify.

Do all four of your dailies that award 9,000 EXP as those are your main and sometimes only source of EXP for the next 24-Hours.

You haven't done anything wrong - Just make sure you level your Homestead up to as high as you can.

Otherwise, you will be unable to level even once the Server's Temporary Level-Cap is increased.

I dont pay any money to win or money for power, i like the free game so because I was stuck on level 44 and the quest (main mission) says I cant talk to Caine until Level 50, and no other quests were coming up for me so I was wondering how to gain XP...

I thought if i went out and cut down level 20 zombies or something that may help, but from what you said thats good, it stops people speeding through the game:)

I will continue on then with side missions etc :)

I need to level up my homestead or i think i just did to level 7 :)
it gets harder to level up the homestead each time

Thanks, i did a few side missions and did schedules today and got my XP and level up :)
I got to level 46 and then got a message saying the SERVER CAP was level 47, so cant level up more now :)

Looks like the waiting game!!

Finally Improved a bit... Still Level 46 bu finally got my hp up too from 332 to 441 :)
I finally crafted that blue shark top and shark pants, which put my HP up quite a bit :)
Also just leveled up my homestead to Level 8, level 9 looks brutal as you need hard aluminium steel and premium leather etc..... getting harder to find the stuff :)

Still stuck on level 46 though until the server cap gets put up
