have you try to see if you can do it on pc first? it might work. after that, use cloud save and you should get all your reward on your steam deck after your first save on pc.

Steam deck uses seperate instances of C: drive for each game called wine prefix. You will need to move the save game from DD1 to DD2 wine prefix. More information

https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/wiki/Proton-FAQ#how-does-proton-manage-wine-prefixes

Basically you are looking for :
From home folder
.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/[appid]/pfx/drive_C

DD1 AppID: 1881420
DD2 AppID: 2457540

From there it will be same save path as it is on Windows.

Of course did not test that but I assume all you need is DD1 saves basically on your drive so in case of steam deck in the DD2 wine prefix.

what i did was go here: https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorageapp/?appid=1881420

and then download each individual file, properly rename it & put it in the folder it was supposed to be in. never dl'd dear days 1 again when doing transfer.

Got it to work.

Under the DD1 drive_c, there's a folder called VG2, and I copied the folder into the drive_c where DD2 folder contains the VGDD2.
