Is this game fun for a new player?
Hello, I was thinking about getting this when it's in sale or something and just wanted to ask if the game is actually a good "guide" for people interested in Vanguard.
I am not even talking about playing online, but just getting a feel for the game and how it works and the cards and so on.

I also played alot of different TCG's.

u can play the story mode first it also comes with a tutorial
and also i would say vanguard rules a pretty easy compared to other tcg's so yeah u can easily pick this up if u want to play vanguard and you are willing to pay this much BUT dont buy this game because dear days 2 comes out in exactly 2 weeks and it will have all of this game + all dlc + more in the base game so wait and get dear days 2 to get the most out of your money also i dont think much players will stay on this game when 2 releases

if u want people to play with u can add me if u want to im always looking for cardfight friends

If you've ever played the old story based pve yu-gi-oh games, this is basically that. It will teach you how to play the game. The base game doesn't have a lot of cards, relative to what's currently available IRL. This game only covers the first 5 sets + 2 smaller sets in the base edition, the over priced DLC does expand it out to sets 11 and several extra sets and decks.
There is a sequel coming in about two weeks that will have all cards in this game, plus about 5 or so sets more, and a vintage format to play the original first 5 sets from when Vanguard came out.
I've heard that you will be able to transfer over your library to 2 if you have this game. But I don't know if that's actually true.

so with that, the Magnolia and Bruce decks are just a smidge more finicky to pilot. However, once you get DLC and all that Bruce get's damned good. (especially with everyone getting a Superior Rider)

"it will have all of this game + all dlc + more in the base game" Are you talking about the cards, or does the second game actually include the first game inside of it? The campaign?

yea, i bought dd1 as a new player having never played cfv before and had a blast. dd2 is that + way more cards + a vintage mode.

Starting from trial deck+story mode would be the easiest way to learn how game flow. Picking the main deck is like the second step for me.
