Issues with consistent low framerates on certain rigs? Try disabling one of your CPU cores!

As documented in a couple of threads, there have been reports of some players who've been experiencing low framerates throughout for seemingly no reason. I've also been one of those players, which I found odd since the last laptop I owned (which had an AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX and a RTX 4080 in it), as well as my Steam Deck, had no issues running the game.

After some tinkering around for the past day or so, I've come to the conclusion that the issue is tied to how many CPU cores are being utilized in the newer i9 13th Gen processors, at least as far as Intel CPUs are concerned (I currently have an i9-13950HX)--I don't have an AMD processor to test it on, but I'm willing to bet that there's a similar issue with AMD users, as well.

Anywho, here's what you have to do:

• Boot up the game in the background
• Open Task Manager
• On the left-hand sidebar (on Win 11), click on "Details"
• Find "VG2.exe"
• Right-click on it, and click on "Set affinity" in the drop-down menu
• Disable at least one of your Processor affinity CPUs and click "OK"

And there you go! You should be experiencing Dear Days at a silky-smooth 60 FPS again! I've tested on a couple of matches myself and have had no issues whatsoever!

The only downside is that you have to apply this fix each and every time you boot up the game, otherwise the game will run as crappy as it did beforehand, which is unfortunate but it should work, regardless! Please let me know if this helps you, as well!
