It might take me less time to eat a high-class desert than a packet of pringles, that doesn't mean the pringles are better because it gave me more time for the money spent. The high-class desert wasn't just a different experience, it was a higher quality one that left me more fulfilled too.
Trying to argue Dear Days' quality is appalling however. Outside of the obvious translation issues, this is a port that hasn't ran well for quite a few people (evident by people frustrated by the crashing), the UI hasn't been changed for the platform it's on and it feels horrendous to play compared to other card games on PC as a result (and the same goes for the deck builder), and aesthetically it's pleasing but not remotely impressive. Shall we talk about the servers randomly disconnecting people and the complete lack of options in the settings menu too? We can completely ignore bad design decisions or ones I personally dislike (such as RQs counting as draws or being unable to turn off animations online), because it could all be argued to be subjective, and you still end up with a game that's hard to argue has nearly the quality it should for the price tag.
I'm not going to argue that Dear Days is more or less fun than P5R because it's down to taste (and I'm not going to bother with the actual writing outside of localisation because I'm not qualified to make fair criticism of it), but arguing that Dear Days has such high quality is sheer madness.
I like Vanguard more than Persona, I'm not trying to ♥♥♥♥ on you. It's simply very hard for me to see eye-to-eye with what you're saying.
Persona 5 is very obviously of a higher quality and production value. To argue otherwise just screams white knight. No matter how much you enjoy vanguard more than Persona, it doesn't change that Persona is a higher quality game; that is just a fact. They spent far more making Persona 5 and it shows.
Yes, this game is a lot of fun. However, it is also very much overpriced.
I can't believe Japan named a whole city because of Persona 5
