New player here, which controller?

I bought this simulator/game recently, and I thought my PS3 controller would work with it.
So sadly it did not. I don't want to spend big amounts on a controller, as long as it's functional in this game. Would an xbox controller work? Or any other budget controller? Suggestions are welcome :-)

I played 2 years with xbox controller without any issues and sudenly an Update comes and the game not longer supports Controlers. so i uninstalled this ♥♥♥♥. to sad i cant refund. sad cause i loved just fly arround.

Xbox controller (from 360 and ONE) is well recognized
but throtle is very sensitive, you need to config Drone Betaflight parameters
its some time inflyable with phisics bug improvement

Look for SCP emulator. My windows is recognising PS3 pad as XBox Pad and is working perfectly.

The game don't select an input by defaut at start
If you have disconnected your input, you need to select it in the input list again.

On Windows run : Win+R > type "joy.cpl" and press enter key
u can test if your input is well connected/recognized on Windows (driver level)

Next you can go try the same in gamepad settings. (software level)

Sometime gamepad change or remove, and you need to restart this config.
