It's located on that page!
Here's a direct link to the mod itself, just extract it into WO3's game folder:
https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/2924-fixed-the-problem-of-warriors-orochi-3-ultimate-ma-chao-musou-causing-the-enemy-to-go-black/
If links get removed by Steam for whatever reason, look up PCGamingWiki's page for Warriors Orochi 3: Ultimate Definitive Edition (SPECIFICALLY Definitive Edition!), and find the Essential Improvements section. A link to the file should be there.
Hope this helps whoever reads this!
1) No extra software, or batch files should be needed, this can be fixed within the gpu software.
2) If using AMD GPU.
Before launching game if using amd, go into Adrenaline software, and display and specific game settings (May need to manually add the game to list),
--- Manually lock the game to 60fps and set vsync on, set monitor refresh to Fixed, (Do not use Freesync or variable, it must be using a fixed rate.) (
----Not used AMD for a little since old card died ( good old 6950xt), but should be close enough if I remember the software correctly)
3) For nvidia, if using the nvidia app,
- Go to graphics, Program settings, and click the three dots, click add program, navigate to the folder containing the games exe file and add it.
---After set fps to 60 locked, and set monitor technology to Fixed Refresh rate, vsync set to on.
4) if using the old nvidia control panel,
-its much the same but, go to manage 3d settings, program settings,
add the game via the exe, and then much the same, set 60FPS limit and Fixed Refresh rate for Monitor technology. Vsync also set to on.
5) For steam deck, setting to 60FPS, make sure allow tearing box is not ticked, should do the trick.
Turns out it was over 60fps/60hz and G-sync / Freesync causing the issue.
So long as you run the game in full screen, locked at 60fps, and with a fixed refresh rate, with v-sync on . Game runs no issues.
(If unsure of game path and installed through steam, go to the game in the list in your library and right click the name and click properties, go to installed files, and click browse. The folder will load and you can see the location in the address bar of the folder.))
((Also have game set to run with windows 7 compatibility and no full screen optimizations. ))
