How to use spire calculator?

I'm trying to understand how best to use the personal spire calculator at http://swaqvalley.com/td_calc/

I thought it would spit out your optimum spire setup for your given resources and upgrades, but I'm either missing how to make it do that, or I just misunderstood it's purpose and it's more of a sandbox for testing within your means... Can someone illuminate me, please?

go ingame. click on export. copy to clipboard.
go to the calculator and insert the text in the box left from damage. click on damage/income/towers. now you can see the best setting for your wishes you can build right now.
go ingame and insert manually the traps like it is shown on the left side from the calculator.

edit:
if the calculator dosent show any other possible setting you have the best setting.

Paste your save in the box down the bottom where it says "Import/Export" then press one of the three buttons to the right under Crowdsource Search - Damage, Income, Towers - this is which stat you want to maximize. Then the calc will auto fill the best setup it can find
