Paste your save into Perky and override your total helium to something like 50Sp and you should be good.
This is a visual bug, it's technically not a sign of a major breakage, just the game failing to display the infinity symbol in that one specific place.
Having a steam version is great. I can actually minimize it and not accidentally close all my browser tab. I don't think chrome is good friend with an idle tab that keeps doing stuff in the background... with five other and youtube and... you get the picture. A stand alone trimps has really been the best QoL upgrade since sliced bread.
My total gathered helium is close to 30Uv while spent is close to 30Uv(Who would've thought? apparently some Qad don't even affect 0.01 Uv). While it may sound stupid to not have gone to U2 for years, take into consideration I thought it was a new game + and I'd lose everything... Yeah... it's my fault for not reading properly and never trying to read properly afterward. I like numbers going UP, I'm not a great fan of them going DOWN especially permanently. So I never pressed the button on the top left of the portal and I kept going through U1 nonstop for... how long has it been now? 4? 5 years? give or take.
There has been periods of time where I kinda forgot about the game. Having the browser constantly crashing for who knows what reasons while playing LoL or ff14 or anything else was annoying so there were long breaks. anyway there was little progress within a day. At most, i'd just portal over and let it run... it was kinda faster offline at this point.
Like I said. having Trimps on steam is absolutely great. Plus I get a single line of code that speeds up the game slightly. Even without it the blocking, health and gems gathering speed are broken. it's the first time it happened (or that I noticed, anyway). maybe because I spend more time ON trimps than OFF. I don't just load the save, click two or three thing, then save.... and leave for another day.
Do you know how long it took me to get everything to a "neat" number in the perks? I'm fretting because my perks "2" (the green ones) can't show the exact number so I don't know how many level I should put in to end with a 00 or 25, 50, 75. I can't make them equals. it's making me agitated and irritated. I wish I could upgrade all those under 500 TO 500... I'm thinking of reducing Carpentry and Coordinated to 500 both. the 540 annoys me and it's taking forever to get back near 1 Uv helium.
I don't know how much 1 Od is. Octodecillion? Well... Resilience cost 93 Od to upgrade once and since the level is 500 flat I don't wanna touch it. Yes I am obsessed.
So with that all out of the way.
What is Perky and how do I use it. Is it a save editor of some kind? Because if so, can't I just remove points myself? it's "just" 500. As much as I don't want to break the cute number, I'd also like to keep playing the same save. It took me YEARS to get there, why would I deliberately mess with my save now? If this was a new game for me or 4 years ago then maybe I would. I'm not usually patient but like... i'm too far invested for that kinda thing now. What would the point be? I'd just wanna get everything to 1000 and the green perks to a fixed, identical number.
Do you know how long it took to gather enough Helium? oh wait, i've been repeating that over and over.
anyway. I might just refund some of those perk (against my will. nothing will look good now.) and try to ignore all that leftover helium. Apparently it's the only way.
I just don't get why Gems gathering breaks so early while food, wood, metal and science go way beyond gems gathering speed by like... i dunno, hundred times over?
I portal'd and looked at the number carefully. (it took too long, dont wanna do this again. fixing the stats for so long makes me itch all over) and it breaks somewhere after Uc/sec
I turned off AutoEquip (the thing that autobuy gear levels) and HP broke near 600 Uc as well. I found that by buying Gambeson one by one until the hp number went bonker.
Not sure when the Block broke tho. I got distracted.
Mind you, this breaking happens WITH perks. Before any modifier from heirloom. Block break because of the number of soldier is too high (How can it be too high. Do I need to stop taking Coordinated during a run? wtf?)
I've dropped every perk down to a "spd" cost helium as you've... so kindly... absolutely not tried to bash me... told me. Now everything is at 400-450 and nothing cost more than a few Spd helium to upgrade. i'll let you know if anything changes.
I doubt it, but hey... you never know.
U2 has new mechanics, new challenges, new minigames, new perks etc. it's hardly like starting a new game. You don't lose U1 progress either upon going to U2, the game lets you switch back and forth. You should definitely try it.
NOW I know U2 is just... like a side save... upon reading attentively (for the first time in.. god knows how long) I learned that I can swap anytime between the two (given I have portal unlocked) and the challenge bonus affects both universe. And it opens up zone after 700 in U1.
farming helium is good and all... but i'm starting to think I spent too long ignoring U2.
I tried it when I first posted about my problem. it's interesting.
So like I said, i'm currently trying U1 over but.... I have 29.0 UV helium leftover and 1.3 Nd spent on perks. I don't see or feel anything different so far except maybe Wind section being much slower and Ice section being unusually annoying. I kinda forgot how overkill works. I'll update once (and if) I get past zone 701. (I did go up to 62 in u2 so maybe?)
Might have used clock here and there to gain a few months of progress faster. Noticed it didn't work properly unless I used Portal inbetween clock change. otherwise it just broke and everything became NaN. Also, going forward more than a few month would break the website itself. making the game unavailable. (Something to do with license or hosting contract maybe?).
U2 has been available to me for so long I forgot when it first appeared on my portal menu. Almost all my challenge are at 600+ except a few that I can't seem to bring that high. notably Obliterated and Eradicated which won't go past 300 and 150-something respectively. btw challenge reward is above 40k%
also I don't get how a few Td worth of helium seems that much to you. Just last week I got well over 900Td from ONE daily challenge. And today too, I got more than that. I got more than 900 Td by FAILING to reach above 600 something. Because my numbers broke again.
Like, since earlier today i've realised it breaks so often BECAUSE i'm constantly having the game running nonstop. I never broke it before because it was never updating live, pretty much only offline. And now that I think about it, I've pretty much ignored everything except portal, perks, daily and zone number... since well before summer 2019. Everyday I'd only load the save, portal a daily (or a repeatable if the daily was done), distribute perks IF possible and then saving and leaving for half a day... rinse and repeat. It got even easier once I got the masteries and robot imp thingy. I don't even know when they started. But... like... Since then, I don't even need to do any map at all to get the portal. I just load and portal is already available since it picks it up automatically.
Auto upgrade, auto prestige, auto equips, auto jobs, auto builds... I could even Auto-Giga station but at this point there is no reason to. The generator is permanently on hybrid with seemingly infinite fuel (it's not infinite, but might as well be. as soon as he boots up he doesn't stop until I can't progress in a zone. which means 600+ in general.)
i'm already at 350+ hours of "playtime" on trimps via Steam. Like I said, i just boot it, leave it on and sometime click a perk or something.
Removing the speed up mod thingy doesn't even add a full second per 50 zones. (Liquimps are great, i tell you) I was more worried about the slight freeze on start of a run but...
no changes there either. by the time I blink the game is already on floor 100+ and by the time I finish reading a single number, it's already 150+. I took the mod because ... you know what? I don't even know anymore. it barely changes anything. Except maybe making 1h spent in the game show as 55 minutes on the real-time timer. (wow that's a mouthful) I guess i've been "abusing" faster gathering....? but it broke gems gathering anyway even with or without the mod code so...
