Ranked matches are a lot more active than exhibition. You can also try searching the online lobby or open to get players for a match

Depends on your region. I'm in LATAM and I find match relatively fast. The first thing you need to know is that it's easier to find battles past rank 4, so try to level up until rank 3 to be more comfortable finding matches.

My first advise is creating a public lobby of 2 people until someone joins, it's easier to find a match when you already have a person. Even if you fail to find a match, both of you are going to spawn in the lobby again so you can intermediately try again. You can also join or create a lobby of 4 and play ranked directly.

The second advise in case you want to just press the button and wait is to cancel as soon as the loading bar hits the middle and try again. For some reason when you don't find a match in the middle of the matching, it's almost secured you will not find a match in the other half of the loading.

The third advise is check SteamDB in order to know how many people are playing. I always find matches relatively fast in the night, around 6pm - 11pm, however on Saturdays and Sundays you can find matches all day. Try to play at night since that's when the people connect or when the SteamDB player count is at 150 - 300.

Fourth advise is joining a discord or twitch/youtube. twitch/youtube is your best shot, however the people there will be pretty good and have the broken DLC characters, so be sure to practice. There's also a discord of around 1000 players, you can try luck there.

Also, don't try exhibition. No one plays exhibition.

I want to finish by reminding you that PC is probably the top 2 in terms of low number of JJK CC player counts. Most of the active people are playing on Playstation. If you can play on Playstation, I would recommend refunding this version and trying that one. You can always ask the devs to implement crossplay but they surely won't do it.

I would recommend searching youtube for youtubers that play the game, and joining their discord to find people to play with. At least that way you have half the amount of players needed from the start. You may be able to find 4 players in a discord to play ranked matches in lobbies too. If you look through the community discussions here on Steam you should also be able to find a JJK Discord someone posted as well
