How unlock DLC anime ending theme 1 outfit set?

I have the ultimate edition... my question is: this dlc need to be unlocked by beating main story mode or I have to wait to get released the content?

I did the story mode and I still don't get the outfits.

Did you never even try an actual multiplayer mode? The static image character select is only for the single fight/training mode which is more for testing characters. The normal character select would be kind of annoying if you wanted to just set up a quick fight for practicing combos. The normal character select has 3d models and the characters have an animation and voice line when you select them. It's easily on par with any other character select
