IF and IF only I ever play a full solo run, I would use Sword against mobs and fists against bosses.
The other three weapons are disadvantaged because they have much less moves, which means the max mastery is much lower that swords and fists.
Staffs + conception are good vs armies, but the fights where they would shine are too rare and too easy for staves to ever shine. They seem to rely on getting hit and accumulating stacks as you get hit. They seem like they were hot designed for the game.
Personally I think saber and polearm shines best against groups, sabers work best hitting them from outside and polearms when surrounded.
special move (iron palm strike),might move (great vajrapani fist), prajna vajraprani palm as unique move and golden bell cocoon as cultivation , just turn auto on and let him beat anyone while almost the time he is invincible state...just try
The only two tricky ones were:
Liu Xion (leader of Liushan School): It has a move that can block one attack and I missed the fact that it only lasts for one turn. Had I taken advange of my higher mobility he would most likely have been a breeze.
Yuan Jue (leader of Shaolin Temple): He's just straight good. But that means I can't lose if I start the fight at full health and it's a 50/50 if I'm trying to fight him multiple times in a row.
The main weakness of fists are their lack of area of effect attacks which are only available (at least so far) for Mighty/Unique moves but that's what you can expect from their description: excellent against a single target but not designed to deal with groups.
