I have found one area so far where you don't have access to a free resting point in the game, but with their fix to the Inns, it's now affordable to use those, so there really hasn't been a point that I found that makes stamina just feel like a time sync
We're sorry to hear that some of you felt the stamina system became more of an annoyance, and we have shared your feedback with our devs.
We're still discussing to see if it can be improved in the future, and we appreciate everyone for sharing their thoughts with us as it helps us to improve the game.
Once again, thank you for playing Wandering Sword , and we welcome any feedback that you guys have :)
Hi, I'm a new player, so take this with a grain of salt, as I don't really know much outside the starter village (kudos to you, I've spent 4 hours in the starter village just messing with things to do)
The stamina does seem kinda pointless, however I think that besides helping with realism, it can help the player feel more "powerful" in some simple ways:
1) as you get more proficient at some activities, the stamina cost can get reduced (could even be zero. At some point, it has to be almost effortless for a hero to break down a tree for example, or mine ore)
2) ways to increase the overall stamina pool, could be tied to some of the acupuncture points
3) While I think it being a mechanic to force rest and use players money is something that might be good overall for pacing and getting the player to use resources, if that's its only purpose, it feels a bit disheartening. To be honest, stamina for sparing makes the most sense for me to give a cost for "farming" NPCs, but that's the only action (as I said, mining, forging, even fishing are all things that should become mundane and simple as you grow in ability) where I think the cost makes sense. Perhaps if you linked it to something besides a "penalty" it will be more appealing to the players?
