Companion quests not showing up in questlog

I've noticed this for Sima Ling and Chen Linxi so far, both of them told me about a location to visit but I didn't actually get a quest for it. I went to location for Sima Ling, and the quest shows up afterwards in Completed, but definitely didn't show in Active while I was doing it.

Does anyone know where I'm supposed to go for Chen Linxi? Can't remember the location and it's not in my questlog.

We have relayed this to the developers and they are taking a look at this issue about Sima Ling and Chen Linxi's quest logs not showing up.

Good to know it's being looked at, any chance you could answer about where I'm supposed to go though? I just need a location since there's no quest that will tell me.

I think they should, when you finish a part of the Companion's quest, have a quest tied to them in the quest log, to indicate that they still have a story for you to finish along with the acquired affinity to start said quest, or indicating the locations you need to go to (this happened with Sima Ling, where if you forget you have to go to Jinli with Shangguan Hong, you might just forget about it. This happened as well with Lu Xian'er, as I had to go to that mountain near Tianshui to find that old Mu lady, keeping in mind what Castellan Wang said). Like sometimes I wonder if Shangguan Hong still have more quests, even though I think it's already done when she reached the starting road of enlightenment through achieving her own version of the Baidi Whirling Sword technique. And I found out that Bai Jin still had a quest at around 70-80 affinity after I finished the precipice quest with him reaching the peak and enjoying the liquor. So yeah, maybe it will be taken into consideration, hopefully.

how do I trigger Chen Linxi quest though? I did finish his initial quest of defeating him and his students but I can't seem to trigger Frozen Corpse in Beishan quest.

Or maybe I missed or locked his quest now that I finished the Kama storyline?
