I saw a reply to another similar topic, and mentioned only Wudang is available as of this current version, while they will consider adding in more options in future updates.

So to answer your question, this is a possible spoiler:
Yes as of now, Wudang is the only sect you can join in the main story, but you can still learn skills from the other sects!
Joining the Wudang Sect is part of the main story.

Being forced into this one and not being able to join others was a huge disappointment for me. It’s a big zone of possible improvement, even though the game is probably isn’t built for that.
Side quests are plenty and nice but you can complete them very quick and it's ran out at the last section of the story.
