Controller bugged, game unplayable.

Current situation:

- My controller: Xbox elite 2.
- D-pad works so I can start a new game.
- B is the accept button, so B works as A.
- X is the cancel button, so X works as B.
- A opens the menu after the intro.
- Analog sticks do not work, so I cannot move.
- Steam says it is using the default layout for this game.
- My other games that use controllers all work correctly upon installation.

The gamepad support is basically broken. Please do not ask the customer to fix on our end. I can wait and play other games but please provide an estimated date for the fix so I can consider whether or not to refund.

I am really looking forward to playing this one, so I hope the developers are swift to address this.

Since you were mentioning Steam Input, I tried Enabling, Disabling, and leaving it on default (which seems to be Disabled), but changing that setting had no effect.

In a bit of good news, I have an 8bitdo Pro controller, and that actually worked fine in game - analog sticks work, and the buttons seemed to do what the game says they should. Steam is interpreting it as an xbox controller, if that helps.

I've been happily playing the game with a mouse and keyboard, but this game practically screams out for a controller interface. Hopefully it can be sorted out quickly

Regular Xbox. It also doesn't work on my Dual Sense 5 controller.

Really? I just played for half and hour and the rog ally controller worked fine, I didn't have to do anything.

Step 1: Under your Steam settings > Controller > External Gamepad Settings, ensure that the "Enable Steam Input for Xbox/Playstation/Switch Pro/ Generic controllers" options are unchecked to avoid any button mapping issues.

Same problem here. I'm using a PS5 dual shock controller. Only the Dpad works. None of the buttons do anything at all. ABXY R1,R2,L1,L2 all do nothing.
