Inheritance points decrease

I had over 5000 but once i booted up the game today it was 3200. Is there a reason why this has happened? And is there away to edit the games files to increase your inheritance points?

use cheat engine.

inheritance points are from the score you get from getting an ending and from achievements.

It happened to me! If you select some stuff and leave the screen, and later you come back, the selection does not get unmade by itself. You should click reset at the top of the screen, then you get the points back.
