Baidi Sword Spirit first appeared in the southern chronicles dlc update yet even in the ashes dust update still hasn't updated it and given Sima her own variant of it, something like Baidi Saber Spirit should be rather easy to make yet still not happened.
uhh it doesn't have to be the Three Enclosures Force, it could literally be an orange or yellow tier Tianji Palace method but he has nothing, you know how Wudang has the orange-limitless and yellow-marvel cult methods to support the red cloudform-method but can absolutely be used without the main red method?
he receives an orange Tianji unique swordplay and not the red tianji unique seven stars swordplay move, presumably he would have cultivated a method from tianji palace to support using the swordplay that isn't 3 enclosures no? Tianji Palace can't just only have the 3 Enclosures Force as its only cultivation method which can only be cultivated by its leader. Quietus Devilry used by Xun Yaoyao is literally stated to originate from the first head of the tianquan hall of Tianji Palace but it has the jianghu tag instead, TP definitely has a load of cult methods.
also lol Sima doesn't benefit at all from the baidi sword spirit method in any way, look at the buffs of what it does. if it somehow did then the devs better clarify that cause i'm not seeing a use for giving Sima buffs that benefit the sword instead of a saber.
I think it's definitely possible that some sects just have one singular method, Tianshan Sect only had the one singular method being the Wind and Cloud method after all. Also, when I said the 3 Enclosures Force was a "peerless technique" let me elaborate, besides its prestige and obvious power, it's also extremely difficult to learn. With the information we actually have provided, you could even say that Tianji sect's techniques are the hardest to learn and master, both Yuwen Yi and Ye Fei mention how difficult it is to read the star chart, would be even harder if you didn't have a scroll with Helian Fubi's instruction helping you. Shang Song (Yun), the daughter of the true Kaiyang Hall Head of TP was only able to use the 3 Enclosures Force by burning away her own life force and also having Helian Fubi forcibly open up some meridians to be able to do so. Ye Fei very likely just wasn't capable of learning it before TP fell. The heads of TP in terms of position would be comparable to an elder of a sect so it makes sense if they knew the 3 Enclosures Force though, Ye Fei's role is likely more close to an elite disciple.
As for the Sima buffs, I'm aware at what the texts says in-game lol. But I'm saying her variant of the baidi swordplay still has the keyword "swordplay" so depending on how the developers coded things, it might still reap the benefits from the cultivation methods. Haven't tested it but it wouldn't be hard to do it, I just started an extreme run so I'm not at the point of being able to though. Also at the same time, I'm not saying that it isn't redundant either, because even if it did buff that 1 single skill, it's too restrictive.
