I went to Pili school and saw the events that happen there around the demonstration of the new invention, but then I got booted back to Jianghu with Vang and Sigui in my team. I imagine there's more to it than that, but how do I continue?

I have a feeling I missed out on quite a lot of content during the Pili school events because it seems party members are heavily involved and I went early with not a whole lot of recruits. Did I just lock myself out of the rest of the events?

The next part should be when you need to go to Nanjiang for story reasons relating to Xue. However, I think you will miss some things due to not having some optional characters.

Added info: I believe it starts in Gusu city when the manor disciple informs you that everyone already left for Jinglong. Quest says to immediately go there, but you will also get a prompt to turn back and talk to the disciple at the port again.

I just encountered a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loophole. I saw somewhere that Yan Weihuan, Frosty Condor and Di Zui are needed or preferable acquired and available for the new content. So i did the Mount Windless storyline. I saw that if I did that storyline as i entered Sweetspring village it gave me a prompty regarding Scorpion Envoy but i was like i need Frosty Condor and Di Zui so why not do it.

After doing it and proceeding with the main story that lets me go to Nianjing, my scorpion envoy quest failed WTF

The first part of the DLC is before Frost Condor / Di Zui. I kinda messed up on the beggar sect stuff so I missed out on their recruitment.

Part 1 DLC: Scorpion Envoy and first trip to Pili School
After part 1: Sweetspring Village (Recruit Frost Condor + Di Zui (also need to prevent someone from dying in another quest))
Part 2 DLC: Tied together with story trip to Jinglong... Kinda stuck here because I am facing a bug of a quest not progressing

so yeah my pili request died when i went to out west for part 2, there was a warning during the first act of the quest that i didnt understand.
I guess the first part disappears before/during west part 2
i was already intending to do another extreme run with all the extra points... but this feels kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥. west part 2 is such a long quest chain too, the loss of content feels extra hollow
