alchemy ingredient locations help

So Im pretty far in the game, but I kinda ignored alchemy, and I got a plot quest to make a level 6 pill... so I need to make pills like crazy. but for the life of me, I cant remember where to find Tanxiang. It's a low level ingredient but.... when you've been to just about everwhere... sigh. game really needs a compendium to log this stuff.

1) When you're on alchemy screen mouseover the needed ingridient, it will show you the location, you need to farm it.
2) Don't make pill like crazy. Instead get the Wuxian leader to like you (70 affinity) and just consult her for alchemy untill you're level 6. Bring stamina pills

No Tanxiang don't have that info

Funny, i just wanna gave positive feedback about the description on the Item and in the alchemy Tab, where to find the ingredients and then seen your thread, lol. Maybe it is intended, because Tanxiang is so rare that nobody in Jhiang know where to find it regular :)

Edit: I have found one so far and am not to far into the game. Mainquest just right bbehind the joining of Wutang Sect. Cleared a little bid of sidequest to the far right of the wordl map (in fact only Quingmu Sect iirc) and cleared imo everthing in Pinkang City. Maybe it is a RNG rare drop, if you shop wood. I have shopped a little in Monkey Wood, Wild Boar Woods.
But honestly i believe it was a Quest Reward. I don't know if this helps a little, but maybe you get an idea with your own experience. If i have found another one i will tell you.

Ok i found 1 source , it drop from a centipede in Bramble shade forest

Thank you for all the suggestions on the way out of this. I probably got some from previous centipede fights... but I just confirmed I got some from the centipedes in the bramble shade forest.

I spent almost 4 hours trying to find some. seriously, thank you.

I have found a NPC, which has one Stack (i know not very much and not farmable...but at least easy to get, because he is only Proficient ^^): Fancheng City (Big City to the West), from the entrance just down the first street a fewsteps, he is standing to the left Name: Chief Guard JIang.

Another NPC is Daowei in Wudang...but he is obvisiously a lot harder to Spar.

I got Tanxiang from Wolf Scorpions. You have to go to Tiaming Village and take the route to the south. Then you entering the Purple Bamboo Forest. I got one right after killing the very first two Wolf Scorpions and another one with the second fight, maybe luck but i reckon it is farmable from them.

Okay and finally have found a merchant which is selling Tanxiang Wood. Wanna know or is it of no more importance to you?

Yeah, I found that vendor. Sorry, it's no longer of importance. I managed to beat the game 2 days ago.

Heads up, you don't need to farm alchemy until after level 9. The guy in Wudang who does pills, Daoxuan, once you gain enough affinity, can be used to consult and learn there. Lets you get to level 9 with a bit of waiting. The bed to rest is also nearby so no need to throw money down the drain to get stamina pills or try making them yourself! You can also spar with him once you're enough to get your stuff back
