Dire Wolf Domestication... Pairing Ancestral Will Quest

I had 2 Juvenal Dire wolf anipals, Malaki and Snowflake. M & F. They grew up together in same pen. Never got any hint on how to breed them. Nothing on Snowflakes page if she could get pregnant. Now they are dead from old age, the whole village held ceremonies to get past the pain of losing them. No villages sell Dire wolfs and I have not gotten any Beast Herds of Dire Wolfs since.
I am still randomly attacked by 6-7 Rabid Dire Wolfs which I have to put down. Is there a way to capture them?
I have/had
2 Dire Wolfs - 2 Dead
5 Pigs - 3 Dead
4 Ducks
6 Dogs
2 Cows
I can't figure out how to breed any of them.
I don't see how I can complete this Ancestral WIil Quest

That was very much missed in the tutorial, in the feeding bin where you can set auto butcheinr and stuff there is a breeding tab to, direwolfs and boars and those need to be set manually who mates who or they will not breed. Took me like 30 hours of playtime before I found it randomly.

i know it has been a while since this post but i cannot find this tab

This got changed a few months ago, anipals now breed automatically ;)
