Kickstarter for the game, which as far as I knew was just after it was announced (and probably put up on Steam) was February 2022. Not even three years ago.

I agree that 'coming soon' over a long time can be annoying - a 'to be announced' status would easily resolve that.

I understand the wording doesn't change the timeframe to release at all, but I'd say expectationwise it's a different story - even if both terms are used loosely around here.
