Variability in trade good selection
I'm aware of the mechanic where biotica placed on bonus nodes have a priority in being picked for inventions. That isn't my question here.

In a few games, i've found that a single biotica has spawned different trade goods between different games.

Example: I play a pangolin and it is chosen for an invention. It ends up being meat that gives +2 population. I mouse over the trade good to confirm that it indeed came from the pangolin. Not bad for a 1 star bio.

I start a different game, new planet but same setup. Play the pangolin, it gets picked again but this time it picks some crappy leather boots worth only +1 wealth. I also confirmed that this came from the pangolin. Can we get different trade goods from the same biotica? And is there any way to influence if you get the better or worse version?

Yes, that is possible. The biggest factor is who is inventing it, but you have to vibe check a little.
e.g. for the Pangolin: is that character much more likely to want boots than meat? Or are they even about it?

is it based on the lowest current value between pop/wealth ? or some hidden 'lore'/preference per spirit ?

I'd guess the Sage would want food, for example, and the Merchant would want boots, according to their primary goals.

In both cases, the city was run by the Diplomat. The exact biotica near it may have been different. I think I had the +15 knowledge tree in one and the +20 food blueberries in another case. But in both cases, the pangolin and the local city being the Diplomat were both consistent.
