But in my experience with Invasive Slot it suffer from two drawbacks that limit its usefullness, but both mostly stem from the fact its expensive to use.
The first is it being just a single slot, while its contemperaries affect two slots or add more slots you can use. Its expensive so you really need to make this single slot worth it, which often just leaves you with the powerfull Apex biotica that often make use of Biome specific mechanics and thus cant really relocate effectively (or at all in case of Minerals/Ocean).
The other drawback goes right in hand with that as you already need to have the biotica available to place it in an invasive slot, and if its available then you've already invested drafts for and are likely actively using its native biome. So often easier and more cost-effective to just make it work in its native biome by placing a mountain or an expansition charge. And for early-game stuff (like Potato for example) its often just as easy/effective to just put them into a micro biome adjacent your targeted biome than to transplant it entirely with an Invasive Slot.
That only really leaves the few, strong Biome boosters (like you've been doing) where Invasive Slot really shines, and there's not enough of those (yet) where that comes up enough. It kind-of needs a buff, but its also sounds so strong on paper that it just feels dangerous to give it one. Maybe it just needs more time to find its place, adding few new biotica that utilise it well could change things very quickly.
And yes I agree it also suffers from a visual standpoint, It should really get a visual update to make it more clear where these slots are. Same goes for Anomaly by the way, especially on land.
