Reus 2

So what are your first reactions to playing full release Reus 2?
This is jumping the gun for many of us. Still, I've got a CT scan when I'd first like to sit down with my wife and check out the game--so many of you will probably get to it ahead of me. (Just in case I forget to say it later--I envy you, you swine. ;) ) What do you think? Does it meet your expectations at first glance? Are you glad you made the purchase? Replay was never a problem with the first Reus. How does Reus 2 look to holding up?

Your thoughts, ladies and gentlemen.

The game is weird. For instance, why are the ducks so hard to farm? Why can't electricity be generated from wood? Why do people drive hybrids, other than enjoying the smell of their own farts?

Because the developers are from outer space, so they don't know any better.

Because the developers are from outer...well, you got me on this one. I've no idea.

Off to my CTscan. Back later, will report on my impressions.

Anybody else?

i'm already wrote a full review, and i'm hooked from the beginning.
It is so warm and welcoming and has that boardgame feel that i love , as a seasoned boardgamer also.

For the time being i'm enjoying and unlocking stuff learning the rules and trying to optimize.

I would really love some variability on the quests to mix things up, but other than that,
it is a very well thought framework that can puzzle me for many afternoons after work.

i'm hooked too but the game desperately needs an undo button.

This game both play sand feels like a puzzle board game. If it were not for the metagame profile levels unlocking access to more biotica I could honestly see this game play out at a table for 1 to 3 players as a cooperative game. Which is weird because most european board games are highly competitive by their natures.

I do hope they add more profile levels with more biotica down the line. The biotica library/index looked far smaller than I thought it would be.

I think their framework is really robust with the word tags, and synergies and clear wording and rules (like a boardgame yes), so adding stuff will not be a problem, if they want to support fans and the game.
