Seperate Voice/Radio comms from rest of the game sound
I play this game in my home cinema, with projector and a surround system. Video and Sound from my PC goes through HDMI out on my PC to the surround receiver so I get to use all my speakers, subwoofers... very nice - I can hear which direction gunfire and other sounds come from. Like if something comes from behind - I can hear that of course.

I have now connected a blutooth chat headset w/microphone to my PC. It's nice in that way it only covers one ear, and only partially so - meaning I can also hear all sounds from my room with both ears (meaning speakers when playing). The microphone works well.

Problem is that I want to route all voice chat/radio chat sound from the game into that one earspeaker on the headset - but keep rest of the game sound through the HDMI to the surround system. I can do this in Windows 11 for chat programs, meaning I can play music, watch youtube on my surround system while keeping chat sound in the headset.

But I don't how I can do that while playing Arma Reforger. It doesn't seem like the game let you seperate those two audio streams - game and vocie comms. Any ideas?

It should be possible as long as the voice/radio is happening through a different program/process. If it's the case, you should be able to enter "App volumes and device preferences" and then select which Input/Output each process uses.

I never played Reforger so Idk what kind of audio settings the game has or if the radio is done through a different process.

Granted, I haven't seen games that use communications through a different programs in a long while but who knows.... ARMA 3 just got Multithreading after 10 years. Anything is possible with BI.

All sound is controlled inside the game including game chat/radio comms.

Sometimes I play with my son, who's on Xbox, and then I use the Xbox App on the PC and we make a party chat through Xbox Live service. Then we can talk there and I get his vocie through the chat headset. But that is not in the game so no on else hear us and I get in game voice comm/radio through my surround speakers.
Unfortunately not possible but why not just headphones lol (sound system sounds cool though no hate)
