Matters only to the people who say something, clearly doesn't matter to Bohemia (yet at least, we'll see if they change anything). Still though, everyone who bought the game already voted with their wallet so what's Bohemia gonna do? Like we can agree they already took our money and won. Plus, "supporting the series for 2 decades" yet you decide to jump ship once they pump out an arma game that isn't a golden egg. Crazy dedication to the series where you change the tone of having loved it. Neat thing is though, most of the games from the last 2 decades are still available, heavily moddable, and playable! So everyone can enjoy the game they want to enjoy, even if the one they wish they could enjoy didn't meet their expectations. Either way though, while you might be bored, I've gone through like 10 boxes of popcorn bags.
I understand you're using hyperbole, but again, they literally never said the game was stable, they said "With the completion of the features in the Ground Support Milestone, the addition of helicopters, and the total overhaul of the supply system, the core Arma Reforger feature set is now live. 1.0 encompasses the essence of Arma Reforger's gameplay: it's complex, it's fun to play, and the technical state has reached a level that we consider ready to leave Early Access. This is by no means the end of the game's development, and our team is working tirelessly to fulfill the plans according to the project's Roadmap."
Not once did they say "Hey all the bugs and glitches are patched, everything works perfectly" But hey, let's ignore that I guess, because every game that's released into a 1.0 state has been perfect. I understand everyone has different experiences with the game, and personally I feel like 1.0 has delivered and then some, which is great! Because I bought the game over a year ago and feel as though I've gotten my $30 worth. Others, maybe not, but maybe they should check themselves and think about whether or not they can afford to lose out on $30 measly dollars.
Go play CS 2...
You must have more insight on this project than most people here or on the Reforger Discord.
Thank you for the suggestion, but I don't quite enjoy that game anymore, plus Arma Reforger provides experiences I can't get on CS2.
They are not poor, they definitely have the resources, time and money to release a working fleshed out product. Instead we get this half baked drip feed of broken updates, and simple things that we would at least expect to be working when it comes out of EA.
" 'buuuUt iTs EaRlY AcCeSs' cry out the neck beards.."
Yeah it is EA, that we paid for for a bug riddled product, with features that were removed after being promised and primarily with an AI system that STILL CANT DRIVE Vehicles.
The people that defend this pile of garbage are the same ones that would be satisfied with an EA title that can barely load to the main menu.
We get it, you love to test broken products and pay for the right to do so using real money.
This is definitely not a 1.0 release AT ALL.
Hey you said it, not me! Thank you for thinking I do! I'll gladly stay quiet when they say "Hey guys, we ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up we're reverting." Again though, seems like they're chugging along regardless.
The game works, the game does what I want it to do, and makes me feel the emotions I wanted to feel, personally, I feel like that deserves credit. Whether you had a different experience, I dunno. How can you be upset about buying a "demo" when you knew what you were getting into? How could you be upset at seeing them release the game into a 1.0 state when their standards were met and they deemed it ready? Again, does it suck that it costs money? Sure, if I was struggling for money and spent my last $30 on this sure, I could be upset, but don't put yourself in a situation where you have a possibility to get burned and then act surprised when you do. That's like going to a "reputable and respected" casino, losing money, and then being upset at the casino and saying they fell off. We threw our money into a pit and hoped for the best. I could understand if it was anymore expensive than it is right now, but $30 was a reasonable asking price for me, as I got plenty of enjoyment per dollar spent, and then some, and then more to come as well.
The game sucked ass a year ago and I didn't enjoy it either, but now it's an actual game, and it's enjoyable (for me).
I started playing arma from when disk copies were a thing, sit your ass down.
no problem...?
sad truth
No hotas, and I don't know if/when they'll add it, it's a shame too cause flying the helos with a proper set up would genuinely be enjoyable in this one.
