This is BS with all due respect and we both know it. Movement system is dumbed down, weapon handling is dumbed down, flight model is dumbed down, stance system is dumbed down, UI is dumbed down, editors are dumbed down etc etc. The list goes on. If something was just streamlined, and not dumbed down, it would retain the functionality it had before the streamlining, but would just work more fluidly. Thats not the case with Reforger and anyone who has played it extensively (and the older titles too ofc) can tell this.
I started with OFP back in 2001 and Reforger is a disgrace. Its not a bad game on its own, but it doesnt deserve to carry the Arma name. Lets hope BI does a U-turn with Arma 4.
some bs from you man. I'm also a ofp fun from the start, and Reforger is a great step forward, yes, there are some issues to be fixed, features to be added, tanks planes artillery etc. but overall it's awesome. The top hardcore aspect was always achieved by mods anyway(ACE, TFAR etc) and so it will be with A 4 and this one
The streamlined controls are so MUCH better than ArmA3s. Custom controls in ArmA3 + custom ACE controls is a fcking cancer to setup. Im glad that Reforger doesnt require big adjustments, the controls are so well designed. And the most immersive controls ever in any game on top. The interaction with gear and the environment is just mindblowingly well done and stands out from anything ive ever seen. The jank of ArmA3 doesnt even come close to that!
The sound... do i need to talk about that? Again immmersive asf, couldnt have been done better. U can hear from the reverb of the voice when someone is in the building next to u. When someone is using the radio next to u, u hear the voice in ur own radiochannel AND the voice from the player next to u(yes i also played with tfar for years already). This alone is immersion deluxe and i salute my hat to the folks at BIS how well designed and executed all this is.
