Private Servers

Will there be an eventual fix to private server hosting? A lot like arma 3 creating a private server is pretty simple and easy to do. However when I create a private server for my friends and I to play (one of my friends are on xbox) they can't join. They end up stuck in a loading screen until the game kicks them out. Is it a connection issue?

I saw a post somewhere that u need to port forward your router so others can see your server and be able to join you. I have never tried to play private server with someone so i am not sure is this true...

It is already fairly simple. You do need to port forward and make sure crossplay is enabled for Xbox users. However if the server is already visible to them, then I would suspect port forwarding has already been configured. Typically if port forwarding is not correctly configured, the server will not even show up.

Do a search for ARMA Reforger Server Tool if you want to most simple approach. It is a GUI for configuring your server so you don't have to manually edit config files.
