Not quite understanding. There is a HOST option in the Multiplayer Menu to create a server. It may have been added / enabled after your inquired about it.

Another option, if you have an extra PC or Laptop, is to create a dedicated server using the free ARMA Reforger Dedicated Server Tool.

im pretty sure the host option in the menu just gives you a config you use to host your own dedicated server its a long story but i cant host a dedicated server for reforger, so peer to peer is my next best option as i would not need to portforward

Choosing "host new server" from the host tab is going to be the only option. It will make you a host/client and let you choose to host on internet or locally. Since you can't host internet due to the lack of ability to port forward, you would have to host local.

Why can't you port forward? Is your ISP NAT or are you on someone else's network? If your ISP is NAT you can get around this. Request a static IP and have them put modem in bypass mode. You can then use your own router.

Look into configuring NAT and Port Forwarding on your local network. You technically don't even need a static IP.

If his ISP is CGNat, he likely has no way to access port forwarding on the equipment they provided. Port forwarding equipment on his side of their modem won't accomplish anything.
