I still hope all this money somehow turns into a functional solid netcode someday.
The game is really popular at the moment and likely selling really well even at full price, why on earth would they put the game on sale and lower profits? What kind of a business model is that?
If the game wasn't selling well they would likely put it on sale to boost sales and profit as they did with the 12 year old ARMA 3.
Yes they would have lost some sales through people who desperately wants a discount..... but for a popular "Multiplayer" Game that is everywhere currently, people will buy it simply because of "multiplayer" and "have to play with my friends", and "streamers". The people who want a discount are currently the minority. This is a business.
I believe when the PS5 kids come across another "crave", then Reforger will go back to dribbling in some Sales compared to currently.
However, this is a perfect time to gain extra profit for future Development, and as the Developers are showing improvements and are already a trusted Development Team by many, then I'm completely fine with their decision.
Just take the time to get to learn the nuances. Careful though, you'll be hooked
