Night / Cloudy and Night / Rain are the darkest but you should be able to see things at some level of detail in proximity.
I did turn off the light in the room, but the screen remains pitchblack mostly.
When prone i can see some of the trees against the nightsky, but only faintly.
The bushes on the ground i could not see.
I was very much surprised at the ease (or what it seemed like) of how people were shooting in the right direction.
I hope to try again tonight.
Never tried.
I have a Asus MG279Q monitor.
When i opened the menu i could not see a brightness/gamma setting i could operate.
Meaning, i did see the word brightness, but it was greyed out for some reason.
It looked like i could not change anything there that could help me.
Admitted, i was with my son and having a dark server was not entertaining him so i joined another server.
I will look at this again, maybe the game has some more settings that can help.
ANyway i check them both every time, i have a certain routine of equipping myself.
I did have some fun yesterday, playing with my son. I told him "lets see how long i will live if i turn my flashlight on".
I turned it on, walked a few steps and then was shot and killed.
Hilarious.
Are NVG'S a weapon? can you shoot somebody, with a pair of NVG's?
no. You wear them. Like clothing.
I found an option in the menu of the screen (Asus MG279Q).
The option GameVisual->FPS mode seems to yield decent results. There are a few more other options which i might give a shot.
