You can even bring a construction truck to build them anywhere, but it people use this even less!
But you can't dig trenches of foxholes.
And who knows, perhaps someday we'll get to dig foxholes.
You shouldn't be building up the backline as it's a waste of processing on the server and the server will just crash or restart and you spent 2 hours for naught. What matters is getting supplies up so the normies can spawn on points so the entire map doesn't collapse suddenly because of one thorn.
There are about 50 different sandbags and dragons teeth, stuff roadblocks and wooden camo net positions etc, and plenty of mining and related to do.
On Everon at every major and minor place there are the same roadblock stuffs creating chicanes and some of them have the independent truck and car spawns at mission start. You can use those to make it worse early match.
There really is no reason to waste supplies going overboard with building. Just do what is necessary to stop the enemy from getting in easily. There are also marked AND unmarked supplies all around the map, sometimes guarded by FIA, they will attack you, sometimes they might be on the crates or nearby. The unmarked supplies are in beige shipping containers with the FIA symbol and crates and camo netting, or shoddy barns or depots.
The camo netting buildings can store supplies, and there are some on the map. You can also disassemble some roadblocks that spawn with certain bases.
You can be a great help with a few friends getting supplies up, building up points to stop the enemy, making the command tent and radio tent secure with a handful of sandbag walls so people can spawn under fire without immediately being raked. It's best to take a lot of missiles with you when possible because enemy vehicles will drive up all the time.
Like the other guy said, it's rare for a construction truck to be seen ahead, but they can build the defensive positions outside of bases. So if you have a few friends you could create a disastrous roadblock. But, it's much much faster to just take a bag of rockets and create a block with whatever vehicles are at hand.
Remember to take a wrench as supplies can be consumed from the vehicle itself to fix your tires, engine, transmission. Some damage permanently slows the vehicle and you need to be at a maintenance point to fix.
Besides the trucks, many other vehicles can also load a number of supplies as described on their spawn card. For example, there will be cars with small supply that can load 400 or large that can load 600, and it might be faster for you to run the 600 so 12 people can spawn and save the point rather than lug the much more obvious truck to the point in 3x the time.
