Question to the devs - So when the game will gain its final form?
Soon, this autumn, the game will hit 1 year mark after release.
And still it feels like an early access game.
I do understand and appreciate that it is dev playground for ARMA 4, but still marketing was so what promising original OFP - ARMA nostalgia experience on new engine.
Even with different timeline and lore that is happening 4 - 5 year later after original campaign, it doesn't feel that the game is still near the original.
Literally, without any workshop modifications you won't be able to recreate even the first Arma CW campaign mission - Flashpoint- or even the 2nd - Combined Arms- with no BMPs and T72.
Nor the standalone missions like - Ground Assault- or -Battlefields- while -Battlefields- came a bit later or were remade later, adding BRDM and BMP 2 into it.
But if we look on the ARMA Reforger roadmap we will have BRDM 2 and FFAR rockets addition to UH1 and MI 8 only with - Final Strike - game update, that with the help of universe will be released somewhere in mid summer or even worse as "grand" update for 1st year Reforger's anniversary.
And there are no mentioning about adding AH-1 or Mi 24 with or without ATGMs.
Will it take another half a year to add?
Probably because of no official ATGM simulation release for Reforger, the - Final Strike - will add only one official RAV that you may also count as first IFV in the game - LAV 25 -
And it feels like adding just a BMP 1 with 9M14 or 9M111 in addition to T72, M60 and M1A1 will take another year for another big roadmap milestone called smthing like "Armored Assault"
Without M2a2 and BMP 2 ofc, it will be released only 2 years later with something like remaster of "Resistance" DLC and etc.
I am sorry, but what is happening Bohemia Interactive?
Creating and polishing new systems and mechanics on the engine is pretty cool, I just don't get it, why you couldn't do the same releasing the game from early access at least with full unit-vehicle roaster from Original with ofc addition of APC's !?
So elite, experienced developer that have several dev teams working on different titles, but lets stick only to MIL simulation.
So one of the most experienced MIL SIM devs in the world that are constantly working and improving on VBS and ARMA can't release a game with Remake potential without the content from Original game!?
I wouldn't be so upset if you could really just took these assets from your previous titles and put them in your release at least as just placeholders until you'll replace them on new ones.
But no, you left it to the workshop, community will solve this.
The problem is that previously you've done it right already with OFP Elite for Xbox.
Before the 1st ARMA released as the new title. you did a full game remake of Original OFP.

Reforger development feels to me as the total side project with 3rd or 4th line of focus depth that will be immediately forgotten as ARMA 4 will be revealed to public.
So please, Bohemia, answer me when approximately Reforger will be finished as stand alone game?
And will it be at least finished as standalone game comparing to original at all!?

Everon bundle deal is just killing me in this context.
Buy fully patched game version from 2011, that has all the content except Red Hammer.
And under cooked sandbox where you have to download mods to play normal MP games.

I don't believe we will get all that at all.

It is just an enhanced tech demo and test ground for A4.

Just read the roadmap and you have your answers, once the roadmap is complete they will move on to A4 with a small dedicated team for Reforger for live ops
