Before i buy ... question about this..

I have arma 2...played a lot...
i have arma 3 and the expansions.. but i never really play that same way ... as i not find the same or similar setup of multiplayergames i did with arma 2...

Question is : Arma Reforger =?== is that like the next arma ? arma 4 sort of?
does it have all the mutiplayer modes arma 2 have .. or arma3 even i never try those..
guess i need to give arma 3 another chanse to now that i got a new superstrong gameing pc.

Arma 2 .. i really liked the multiplayer mode.. where 2 sides slowly take over towns.. and AI drive supplies btw em.. make you able to build better and better gear and tanks...

does arma 3 have this?

does arma reforget have this ?

in arma 3 this sounds somewhat similar to "warlords". check out some videos on youtube to know what that is about.

there's 2 official gamemodes on arma reforger, "conflict" and "combat ops".
first one is 2 teams on opposing sides of the island that have to capture strategic camps and hold the majority of the highlighted camps at the same time until the time runs out for the enemy to recapture it. there is supply runs done by players, but long term planned to be (also) done by AI, which help to give spawn points, build bases up, build checkpoints, buy vehicles with (limited vehicle arsenal) and with a later update supply points will also be for things like soldier equipment (weapon, ammo, medical).

also later it is planned for "conflict" to be further changed, and while i don't know how in detail there wont be fixed camps you have to capture but it's entirely free build and you need to set them up from scratch yourself with your team, where ever you manage to agree on one, and to extend your radio range until you can find the enemies and attack their camps.

if you're interested in that wait for arma reforger to leave early access so you can actually see what this looks like.

as for trying arma 3 again, i suggest warlords, it might be interesting for you. i see a lot of issues with it so i'm not big into it myself.

dang this game look(and felt very well made) .. very nice.. and it look like it have gamemode i was looking for.. that i try to explain in thread ..sort of.

still.. i also read arma 4 come early or mid 2024.. so i get this game refunded and wait for it to fully release... and see if arma 4 are still on track by then.. if its porsponed i guess i rebuy this 1...

i'm not in game developing so i'm just guessing here that they're not done creating a story for the game when they were still working on implementing content and features, including AI being able to do everything on this new engine, all while maintaining the games stability. no idea how long making their professional levels of a campaign takes but i imagine it's gonna be big. at least i can't imagine arma 4 not having a campaign.

hope you enjoy warlords, it's fun when you don't get steamrolled or spawncamped.

i try my best to make warlords work. but it does not on the official servers... i figured out i will need all the DLC to make this thing work....
i am not prepered to spend 100 more dollar on this game when arma 4 is not that fare away... also then i re-buy reforger and reinstall this before i buy all those still expensive dlc for arma 3 :)

anyhow.. i started arma 3 campaign to see graphic on total max settings now i got a pc that can run every game on total max in 4k .... dang .. arma 3 look sweet :) ... still... way to many dlc i need to play that thing online... so ill wait :)
