Vehicle physics ideas
Right now, the character models just sit there looking like nothing is wrong until they're dead or unconscious. Adding some movement and actions based on the what the vehicle is doing and happening around it would be a subtle, but very noticeable addition. Also, adding some rag doll physics to vehicles would make driving more realistic and challenging, and result in funny Youtube videos :steamhappy:

1. Passengers can duck/lean in the vehicle. If the driver does this in first person, their view becomes obstructed from the dashboard but they're harder to shoot. Leaning/ducking does not completely remove their head from being shot at.

2. Vehicles that are flying in the air from ramps, drifting, bumps, flipping over etc. cause the inside character models to brace for impact. Example: Drifting causes the models to brace in a way that they're either trying to remain centered or they're up against the door/middle console from the momentum force. We've all got that friend who locks out their arms against the front console when the driver brakes hard :steamhappy:

3. Character models that get ran over either get pushed to the left or right, get knocked on the ground, or roll over the vehicle hood if they get hit by the vehicle at a certain speed & angle, like with rag doll physics.

4. Flat tires need to look flat and not just dip through the terrain. If the front tires are flat, vehicle control should be wonky.

5. Vehicle parts should break off. The hood, bumpers, doors, and mirror should break off if impacted by enough force. Example: An open door should break off if it hits a solid structure and the vehicle is going at least 45 MPH. If a wheel breaks off from extremely hard impact, that'd make things even more interesting :steamhappy:

6. Uncovered transport trucks spill out their load contents (players and supply boxes) if they fall on their side, like rag doll physics.

7. Humvees and jeeps should have tow hooks to pull vehicles in Neutral gear. This can be so one person can drive a Humvee with a jeep in tow to the next town, or help flip a vehicle over right-side up. Towing any vehicle, light or heavy, has an impact on the handling and speed of the vehicle doing the towing.

Example: jeeps can pull tanks with a major loss of speed and power (or not be able to tow at all) for the jeep, whereas a Humvee will have slightly better capability. Supply trucks will be able to tow anything at the cost of max speed. Vehicles in tow cannot shift gears, but can still be occupied and controlled (lights, main turret movement, .50 cal movement). If they can shift gears, there should be consequences inline with physics like stopping the towing vehicle, or breaking the tow cable.
