What is the 3rd ID?
Founded in March of 2025, our unit seeks to provide an immersive, authentic, and engaging experience of US Army Infantry in the 1980s. This is not a modern MilSim unit, and instead highlights a historically awesome, visually pleasing, and otherwise interesting time of military history.

To summarise how we operate - our foremost goal is immersive fun in-game. While there are ranks to achieve, awards to receive, and progress to be made - we are all adults at the end of the day. This means if you are seeking a place for people to call others sir/ma'am in Discord, we're not it, and good luck on your journey.

While in-game with the 3rd, its' members can expect:

• Immersive role play-realism environments
  
• Training on how to play Reforger
  
• Light training on US Army Infantry tactics, doctrine, and procedures
  
• Organised & fun operations and more!

Requirements:

• Show up when you can with a positive attitude
  
• Have a working microphone
  
• Be at least 18 years of age
  
• Own a legitimate copy of Reforger

How to Join

• A member of our recruiting staff will then reach out to set up a brief interview (don't worry, this is just to see if you can speak English, are human, and are here for the right reasons)
  
• Following your interview, you will be given appropriate roles.

Additional Information

• New members will be on a 14 day probationary period(effective 11APR2025). This probationary period will provide an opportunity to evaluate a new member's activity, attitude, and compatibility with others. Essentially, you will pass the probationary period if you show up at least once during this time, and don't cause problems.
  
  
• New members will have 30 days to complete an Initial Entry Training(effective 11APR2025). This training is to ensure your basic familiarity with how to play Reforger, along with basic concepts regarding how the unit operates.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are your operation/event times?
This has yet to be determined(as of 28MAR2025), but will likely be on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays at a reasonable hour. We are primarily EST/CST oriented.

Do you guys use teamspeak?
We do not. Discord is our community hub, but all 'operations' communications are handled in-game using local VOIP and radio set-ups.

Do you guys use mods?
As of posting this, no - we do not currently have mods. However, we will likely soon have our own modpack in the works. Reforger is a lot better than Arma 3/2, in that you download everything when you join the server.

Can I be in another group while being in this one?
Yes, but please refer to the ⁠rules regarding poaching. We do not prohibit dual-clanning.
