No matter what I did, the game would just not recognize my mic which is a trusty old Shure SM58 going into an audio interface which then connects to the computer via USB.
I kept seeing all these people saying “use Voicemeeter”, “Steelers” or whatever else, and no no no I thought - it shouldn’t be needed. After multiple hours of tinkering I caved and got Voicemeeter. And it works!
Though….i did tests with running VoiceMeeter into a DAW and it appears VM introduces a lot of noise to the audio, unfortunately. But it has built in comp/limiter/eq which is pretty nice.
TL;DR: running VoiceMeeter works for me.
try vb cable then and uninstall voice meter should be way easier to setup.
i had the same issue i ended up using a 2nd different external sound card just for the mic
its kinda insane how many issues this game has with a variety of different mic´s
no it isn´t his setup its very well known by now that arma has problems with multitudes of mics/soundcards
