Mic Input issues.
I just built a new PC with an X870 Tomahawk motherboard and a Corsair 4000D Airflow case. While playing Arma Reforger, I noticed that my microphone wasn’t working. I tried unplugging and reconnecting it, which temporarily fixed the issue, but it stopped working again shortly after.

Since then, I’ve been repeatedly unplugging and reconnecting the mic and toggling microphone access in Windows privacy settings on and off. However, this only allows the mic to work once before it stops again. Additionally, the microphone icon in the taskbar only appears when I press the push-to-talk button in-game.

I’m not sure what’s causing this issue—any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have USB mic? Try to connect to external USB port like USB in monitor.

i have the same issue with an external soundblaster X3 sound card where only the mic does not work in arma reforger and in arma reforger only (while working fine in any other application at or not at the same time)

The only solution i used is plug a 2nd usb soundcard (basicly using a different soundcard for the mic) and only use the mic on that one.
wich solved the issue 100%

ive read other people claiming solving this by using a virtual audio cable software like voice meter maybe VB cable works too and set that as their default mic input.
(i have not tested this myself)

its basicly an incompatibility between your soundcard´s mic and arma reforger (wich i personaly blame the dev´s for that this issue is still existing) there is simply nothing you can do about you can report it to them with your exact soundcard model and a description of the problem and thats it. (but do not count on it ever getting fixed)

It's an aux cord connected to the front panel of my case that is 4000D airflow, but the sound output/input is called (Realtek USB Audio) by default.

I thought so, after reading a lot of forums I've just come to accept it, although I might try the aux to USB dongle as Logitech provided it with my headset.
