I have figured out a solution for me, I am very happy!

I tired everything, CPU ratio, windows 11 Power and HDR settings, Bohemia asked me to reinstall C++ and direct X redistributables, verify game files - NONE of it worked for me.

Then I limited frame rate to 60 in game, and no more GPU hangs.. Seems like they have something unrestricted which will just demand more and more from the GPU, but limiting FPS prevented any crashing for me. I finally finished a few games and am confident the issue is gone (for me).

I would not accept that as more than a very temp solution. Limiting to 60 for console experience when I'm on a PC = a big nono for me.
I will still wait for fix. I have not tried this out since I refunded. Might work for others, and it might not.

It worked on some servers then some servers say server fps 29-30 when i limit it to that it doesn't crash i can play on 60 fps not 30 tho

I bought the game, first 2 days it didnt crash and I saw almost no bugs, but after 2 days I started having problems with loading/unloading supplies, my vehicles kept ketting stuck in a texture, Sometimes I get stuck in a texture when building a base, and last 2 days I cant play because every hour it crashes due to GPU hang error.
In last 5 days or so I spent almost 40 hours and I love the game but damn now its unplayable, so Im taking a break

I used to have this issue frequently. I was running 4k ultra, getting 80ish fps avg, but gpu hangs crashes every 30-60min. I figured arma was eating vram so I turned my settings down to 1080/high and i haven't had the issue since. Hope this helps.

Going from 1440 to 1080 or in your case have to downscale even more.. That shouldn't be an issue that we need to do. And that has a major impact on how the game looks.
But I guess it could be a temporary fix. If others want to try.

14900, 4090 and 32mb of DDR6. Get the ‘GPU Hang’ error like clockwork. Even got it on the loading screen so it is not GPU temp. BI acknowledged this error in ‘Development Update #17’ in May 2023 and it is still an issue with little word from BI.

Last night a was watching some streamer play live. I had never heard of them before but I wanted to ask how they avoided the GPU Hangs error. 30 minutes in he gets the error.

look so far what fixed it or at least i got the error much less was putting v sync on and limiting the frames to 60
