USB Mic intermittently working
SOLUTION!!
I downloaded VoiceMeter Banana to pipe my headset mic to a virtual output and then made the virtual output the default input device on Windows. This fixed it and I have not had any issues since. If you need help doing this, just let me know.

Original post
I have an Audeze Maxwell gaming headset with built in mic. As the title says, the mic will work for one transmission and then stop completely. I have to either restart the game or unplug the headset dongle to get it to work for another transmission. This mic works perfectly fine in all my other games.

Things I've already done or verified:
1. Headset mic is the default input device in Windows.
2. Disabled all other input devices except the headset mic.
3. Checked for new drivers.
4. Verified game integrity files.

If anyone has any advice, please let me know. Not having a mic in this game is terrible when trying to play on a very populated server.

interesting! Same Headset, but with the issue that only a TRRS connection to the PC is recognised by ArmA Reforger. Wireless with the dongle isn't working as of now. Thx for the tip with the virtual thingy! Will try this way later..

Yes same here. I was having this problem because I was using the wireless dongle instead of TRRS. The only thing that fixed it was the solution mentioned in the original post. Have to pipe the mic to a virtual output and then set the virtual output as the default recording device in Windows. I have not had any issues for over a month now.

After some fiddling I noticed, that Reforger does recognise the wireless mic input from the headset, but with an offset of a few seconds. Like I have to hold down "t" or "caps" for 3-4 seconds until it starts to send audio into the voice chat. And that is on my desktop PC. I also tested the dongle with my laptop, and there is no such delay, so that it sends audio right away, as it should. So the problem has to be somewhere with my desktop PC/Mainboard/USB. (little ingame workaround for me, to toggle voice chat on, so that it keeps sending, with maxwell's built in noise supression on)

so my fear now is, that whatever virtual output tool I would use, that the underlying issue with that delay would persist on my desktop PC..

I have to check different USB ports on my MSI z590 Mainboard. but I will see.

Thank you for creating this thread! And greetings from l'Alemagne :-)

Good to know, thank you for the information. Sounds like I had a slightly different issue than you where my problem was I could only transmit once and never transmit again. This happened regardless of how long I pressed the push-to-talk or if I toggled my voice chat on.

I hope you find a solution since and please report back on this thread so others can see.
Cheers! :)

yeah thanks zipper helped me sort it out all working no more headache
I think I found a solution. Try to connect headset or mic to external usb port. I used usb in my monitor and it works ok for a couple of hours.
