i set the settings to medium and it seemed to help.

So what's your system spec & graphics settings in-game?
Chameleon_Silk Mar 10, 2024 @ 10:07pm
why is 60 unreasonable? I play at 60-75.

reduce render scale, everything below 49 fps is slightly to slow for the game engine. still playable but game will warn you that your a bit slow below 49 (assuming its for netcode)

I'm on a 5600X and a 4080 super but have also played on a 3800X and a 3060 (which did 1440p fine with some reduction in render scale)

even with the 4080 super i reduce render scale to 80% and play in 4K, mainly because I use 3D scopes which tanks performance below 49 otherwise.

in multiplayer on official servers, not sure about modded but it should be similar performance. I mean I can run my riva tuner stats and you can watch me stream if you don't believe me.

I get 20 and it doesnt change either
Knight Mar 12, 2024 @ 10:57am
I also have freesync that should boost frames, but nope
Chameleon_Silk Mar 12, 2024 @ 11:45am
Freesync wont boost frames, its a tech to synchronize frames with gpu/monitor to avoid tearing and 20fps is below any freesync monitors range regardless. Turn vsync off if you have it on.

If you are only getting 20fps you must be running the game on relatively old hw.

Set res to 1080p and lower render scale, turn off all AA options and turn on FSR 1.0

Your graphics card released on 27.5.2016 and is thereby technically nearly 8 years old. Maybe consider an upgrade to something with modern performance...?

FreeSync will never "boost" your frames as in giving you better performance, that's not what FreeSync and GSync are there for.
m_train1 Mar 12, 2024 @ 10:35pm
It's on your end. The game runs fine. Buttery smooth in 1440 Ultra with a 1080ti. I have my frames locked at 60 and they never drop below. Just get better with your equipment. The problem is always your fault.

the 1080 is Equal to the 2nd best RTX card so that is why I have not upgraded it yet

GTX 1080 is worse than RTX 2070. mind you, there are RTX 2070 Super, RTX 2080, RTX 2080 Super and RTX 2080 Ti.
you can not expect an 8year old gpu to run a modern title at the highest settings at 60fps+

and to add to my other comment, the GTX 1080 is equal to an RTX 2060 in 2024. there are currently gpus out there that are almost 5 times as fast as the 1080 ( rtx 4090)...
