Bohemia Interactive Backend Initialization Error

I am intermittently met with this when trying to play the game. It gives me a red icon in the top right corner of my screen on the main menus and claims all services are down and that my ping is 999+ms. My internet connection is strong, fiber optic connection with only me using it.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I've been looking for a solution for ages but I can't find a post with this problem.

I've re-validated, reinstalled, everything I can think of to no avail. It seemingly happens at random.

EDIT Feb 2025: Still randomly happens to me. It's just Bohemia Interactive having poor server quality. This thread got popular right after Reforger's release on Playstation. I'd imagine the backend servers were not equipped to handle as many players as the game has now.

@DTRAX After playing some more this weekend, I'm having the same exact problem you are facing, during the same exact time. 8pm-12am eastern time.

Bohemia's servers are to blame, seems like there's no fix on our end.

Same exact time for me and my buddy. once it hits 8pm EST cant login/join servers. if we are already in a server no issue, but if a crash or disconnect occurs, we are done for the night.

This is the only game I know with this issue and it's a damn shame. It was initially reported back in 2022 when the game released, and the issue still remains to this day even though Bohemia Devs said "We're aware. We're fixing it." Not only are the Devs a bunch of liars and thieves (charging $30 for this POS) but apparently, they're too incompetent to tackle this issue. I hope they're aware Arma 4 will be a complete waste of time and money if this issue transfers over to Arma 4 lol. Big L to Bohemia Interactive.

Funny thing is this issue never bothered me until the most recent update adding Combat Ops Everon. They just make this game worse.

Nope. Probably won't be either. You can kind of "brute force" it into letting you into a server if you spam the join button.

server list doesn't display, and the explanation is ♥♥♥♥, cause it doesn't explain anything. Was waiting in a queue and then this happened. 2025 and still no solution. Even their website is down..
